The Simple, Smart Home Improvement Choice
People searching for ways to enhance the liveability and value of their home often consider drastic steps like complete kitchen remodels or home extensions. These options typically cost between £30,000 and £75,000. Skylights and rooflights on the other hand cost only a tiny fraction of that amount and will produce an immediate bump in home valuation as well as monthly savings on your energy bills. They will also make the home more liveable in ways a kitchen remodel cannot.
At Rooflights & Roof Lanterns we offer a wide variety of state-of-the-art skylights and rooflights, including:
1 - Manually operated rooflights
2 - Electric powered rooflights
Polycarbonate dome rooflights
3 - Korniche flat rooflights
4 - Coxdome polycarbonate skylights
5 =Pyramid skylights
6 - Circular skylights

Is Planning Permission Needed for Skylights and Rooflights in Wiltshire?
We hear this question a lot from customers and the answer is… it depends.
There will be plenty of times when no permission is needed to install a skylight or rooflight. There will also be times when planning permission is required. For instance: if the skylight or rooflight will rise more than 15 cm above the established roof line you may need permission. Likewise, if any part of the new rooflight or skylight will protrude above the highest point of the roof as it currently exists.
There are also instances when planning permission is almost certain to be required. For example: if your home is a Listed Building or it is located in a Conservation Area. We typically recommend that customers simply contact their local authority and ask them. Even if permission is required it will likely be little more than a formality.
