An Underappreciated Form of Home Improvement
Typically when people think about home improvement options they go straight to bathroom or kitchen remodels which can cost anywhere from £20,000 to £75,000, and more in some cases. Many get scared off by the cost and simply shelve their home improvement plans entirely. But what if you could fundamentally transform the way you experience your home for the better and add to its market value for only a tiny fraction of what a kitchen remodel costs? That's exactly what happens when you opt to install skylights or rooflights.
We offer a wide array of skylights and rooflights from top manufacturers including:
Manually operated rooflights
Electrically powered rooflights
Dome rooflights
Flat rooflights
Polycarbonate skylights
Pyramidal skylights
Circular skylights
And much more...

Do You Need to Obtain Planning Permission for Skylights and Rooflights in Dunstable?
Planning permission is required for so many types of home improvement work it's only natural to assume it is also necessary when installing skylights. But that is not necessarily the case.
If the skylight or rooflight you plan to install will not rise more than 15 cm above the established roof line then it is likely you will not need planning permission. The same is true if the planned skylight or rooflight will not protrude above what is currently the highest point of your roof.
If, however, your home (or business) is a Listed Building then it is likely you will have to obtain planning permission before adding any type of roof window. The same is true if your home or business is located in a designated Conservation Area.
