Benefits of Solaglaze Skylights for Pitched Roof and Flat Roof Applications
Solaglaze’s pitched skylights have a number of key benefits to offer, the most important of which include the following:
- Stylish Design – With a clean, modern design, Solaglaze pitched skylights are a fantastic choice for contemporary properties with a similar design aesthetic.
- Maximum Daylight – The angle of the glazing allows more light into the space below than a flat glass skylight of the same dimensions and specifications. This makes the Solaglaze Pitched Skylight an obvious choice for applications where the level of interior light is all important.
- Eliminates Issues With Standing Water – The angled glazing on these stylish skylights eliminates any issues with standing water that you may otherwise have experienced. Rain, sleet and snow will just slide off the surface of the glazing, leaving you free to enjoy the view through your new skylights.
- Durable Frames – Extruded uPVC frames ensure durability as well as excellent thermal performance and, together with the EPDM gasket seals that form part of the package, combine to deliver a fully weatherproof housing that will remain in excellent condition for many years to come.
- Manufacturer’s Warranty – Each of Solaglaze’s skylights for pitched roof and flat roof applications is supplied with a full warranty from the manufacturer, which covers both material and manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years. Under normal circumstances, you can expect your new skylights to last considerably longer than this.
- Protection Against Thermal Bridging – The full uPVC frame delivers outstanding thermal performance and provides excellent protection against cold bridging.
With all of these benefits and more besides, Solaglaze skylights for pitched roof and flat roof buildings are among the very best skylights available anywhere in the world today.

The angle of the slope can vary, but pitched roof lights are typically installed at an angle between 15 and 50 degrees.
Pitched roof lights are an effective way to add natural light to a space while also protecting against weather damage. The angle of the slope helps to deflect wind and rain, and the glass panels provide an additional layer of protection against the elements.

One common spot is at the peak of the roof, where they can help to brighten up a dark attic space.
