The size ordered on the website for this product would be the same size you need to make your structural opening/roof hole size. For example, if you order a 1000mm X 1000mm dome rooflight from the website you would need to make your structural opening 1000mm x 1000mm. The visible rooflight daylight size would be 800x800mm due to the splayed upstand supplied. The daylight size will be 200mm smaller than the Rooflight size as shown on the table below.

FAQs
-On What Kind of Roofs Can a Coxdome Electric Glass Opening Rooflight Be Installed?
This polycarbonate dome skylight has been designed to be installed on flat roofs. If you have a pitched roof, this particular model will not be suitable for your property. On the other hand, if you have a flat roof, it is an excellent choice. It can be installed, without difficulty, on single-ply, GRP, asphalt, hot melt, liquid and lead roofs, as long as they are flat.
What Sort of Glazing Can I Have in My New Coxdome Rooflight?
There are several glazing options to choose from: simply select the ones you would like when placing your order for a new Coxdome electric glass opening rooflight and we will make sure the production team receive all the pertinent details. These stylish and functional skylights can be fitted with single, double, triple or even quadruple glazing during the manufacturing process, with a choice of clear, diffused or opal panes.
Can I Fit a Coxdome Electric Glass Opening Rooflight On My Own Upstand?
You may be able to fit this rooflight onto your own or a third-party upstand but we do not recommend it. The reason for this is simple: the manufacturer’s upstand is thermally broken by design, to eliminate condensation issues and ensure excellent thermal performance. Unless your upstand is of the exact same dimensions and also thermally broken, you will almost certainly enjoy better performance by using the one supplied with your new rooflight.
What Size Coxdome Electric Glass Opening Rooflight Should I Order?
When you are placing your order for a new Coxdome rooflight, you need to ensure that you select the same dimensions as the hole in your roof where it will be installed. However, the actual size in terms of visible daylight will be smaller than these measurements. For example: for a 1000 mm x 1000 mm rooflight, the area of visible daylight will be 800 mm x 800 mm. This is owing to the converging design of the upstand.
How Do You Open and Close a Coxdome Electric Glass Opening Rooflight?
You can order your new rooflight with a wall switch or a remote control and receiver unit, according to your preference. If you choose the remote/receiver package, you can also add wind and rain sensors to ensure your rooflight is always closed when the weather turns nasty.
