FAQs
-Pivot Fakro Roof Windows
Pivoting roof windows enable homeowners to transform small, dark or unusually-shaped spaces into domestic showrooms that enhance their lifestyle. Centre pivot Fakro roof windows are ideal for rooms with low ceilings or pitched walls with an angle between 15° and 90°. Due to the way they open you can generally place them lower on the pitched ceiling than you would top hung windows, even if there is a lot of furniture in the space.
Benefits of Centre Pivot Fakro Roof Windows
Homeowners choose Fakro centre pivot roof windows because they provide an array of benefits other windows can’t.
Centre pivot roof windows flood a space with light
Centre pivot windows provide generous areas of uninterrupted glass that allows natural light to flood into the space behind them. Unlike traditional double-hung windows, there are no framing elements halfway up the window to block light from entering. Instead, you have one continuous pane of glass.
Centre pivot roof windows are easy to open
When fully opened top hung windows provide a larger open space than a centre pivot window. But opening a top hung window all the way can be a challenge because you have to reach out so far to do so. Centre pivot windows on the other hand can be fully opened without any exceptional effort.
Centre pivot Fakro roof windows are easy to clean
If you have installed beautiful, high functioning centre pivot windows you will want to make sure you keep them nice and clean. While cleaning the entire exterior surface of some (not all) top hung windows can be a chore, cleaning both sides of a centre pivot roof window is easy as pie. Fakro centre pivot roof windows pivot a full 180° bringing the exterior panes to you for easy cleaning.
Centre pivot roof windows don’t require planning permission
Because centre pivot Fakro roof windows are not an extension and do not add to the floorspace of a home or to its vertical profile planning permission is typically not needed for their installation. This can save you a lot of time and hassle.
