In order match the correct size you require you would need to know the external kerb to kerb measurement. To achieve a perfect fit, the size being ordered needs to be the same as the EXTERNAL KERB TO KERB MEASUREMENT INCLUDING FINISHED ROOFING MATERIAL. The rooflight should be installed between a 5 to 45 degree pitch
EXAMPLE: If you’re ordering a 1000mm by 1000mm then the external kerb to kerb measurement including finished roofing material should be 1000mm by 1000mm.
The upstand width recommended is 80mm and height 150mm.
If your upstand is greater than 80mm you will see the upstand when looking from a birds-eye view through the top of the glass. Most customers are ok with this but there is a requirement for this not to be visible, then we can offer custom sizes.

-Why should I choose Rooflight & Roof Lanterns Fixed Framed Rooflight out of all the options?
The rooflight is a robust system designed to have a sleek aesthetic appearance to absolutely brighten the room of choice. The glass creates an exquisite look and feel to the property with the added guarantee of this rooflight having been long term tested to give a full peace of mind.
How much glass is visible?
These rooflights are installed onto a builder’s upstand which is a timber frame made on top of the roof so rooflights can be installed onto. Our innovative framed rooflight works on the external measurement and this means the internal view of glass will always be dependant on how large the upstand is made by the installer. We recommend making the upstand width recommended at 80mm meaning the internal view of glass should always a total of 160mm less. An example would be a 1000mm by 1000mm would give a visible glass size of 840mm by 840mm ideally. Please see fitting guide for more information.
Does my property need tinted glass?
This is usually down to personal preference and a little practical thinking. We advise if the rooflight is going to be in situ in a room which has a lot of light coming in already, then you may want to consider a tint to the glass to avoid glare and heat build up in the room.
Can this rooflight be used commercially?
Our Rooflight & Roof Lanterns Framed rooflight is suitable for commercial premises but as we work transparently, it is essential this is checked against any project specification and any commercial works should have a responsible individual for sign off who is best to share our product link with.
First 10 sizes shown on the product landing page can be delivered within 3-5 working days for CLEAR LOW E GLASS 1.2 U VALUE, DOUBLE OR TRIPLE GLAZED with our without self clean glass. Our rooflights are made to order.
Bespoke sizes and custom glazing (tinted glass, solar glass,etc) options are on a lead time of 5-10 working days.
Once an order is placed, then this is followed up by a delivery confirmation text message to the mobile number provided with a scheduled delivery date on a single day or of on a 2 day run this will be mentioned.
For the delivery, we kindly ask that labour be available on-site to sign for the goods and assist with offloading from the vehicle. Our deliveries are made throughout the day, and you will receive a text message with the delivery date sent to the mobile number provided when placing your order. We recommend scheduling any equipment setup or installation after the item has been delivered. Please note, the driver is not insured to bring the delivery inside the property.
Delivery to most locations is a standard £50.

Customers can collect this rooflight directly from the factory once orders are placed and ready. For this option, please contact a member of the team for more information. Please note failed delivery will incur £150 delivery charge to most areas. The above postcode areas would incur a £250 re-delivery charge. These fees will be incurred unless a 2 working days’ notice is provided before delivery.
Customers are kindly asked to arrange for manual unloading of the rooflights upon delivery. To ensure safe handling, we recommend having one person for every 25kg of weight. If you plan to use a forklift for unloading, please let us know when placing your order, so we can deliver the rooflight on its own stillage. Please note, there is an additional charge of £50 + VAT for this service.
